We, the United States of America, have been the greatest society, nation, and people that have ever existed in history. Through our people and their innovations, the United States has brought comfort and convenience to the world. Because and through American Generosity, the destitute, poor, wretched, and even entire nations have benefited wonderfully. The sole reason for this international influence is because for the first one hundred and eighty years of our history, the United States of America gave God his rightful place.
In recent times, the US has declined, most glaringly in our military presence and economic strength. However, if we as a society, will hearken back to the reason for our explosive growth, massive expansion, and towering influence, we can and will, again, have such power and strength as we have ever known. As the Bible declares time and time again, we, as a society, must repent and turn back to God in whole hearted faith. The United States had been great because the people of the United States had been good, and we had been good because we had kept our focus on God.
The survival of our nation is dependent on the Grace of God. We must as Christians be prepared to battle all evil influences in our government and in our society in general. The existence of the power of Satan is evident in all aspects of our lives. We have let it grow.
As a cancer grows in our body, the evil in our culture grows unabated. Just as we would seek medical treatment for our body, we must seek spiritual treatment for our nation. We can only achieve this through prayer and repentance. We must be prepared to combat the forces of the ungodly influences in our lives and ask God for the wisdom and courage to go forward in our spiritual warfare with Satan and his minions.
“Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.” Psalms 31:24 (KJV)
Jonathan Mayhew, a Congregational minister and lecturer at Harvard in 1765, reflected on the colonists’ feelings toward King George III’s hated Stamp Act:
“The king is a much bound by his oath not to infringe the legal rights of the people, as the people are bound to yield subjection to him. From whence it follows that as soon as the prince sets himself above the law, he loses the king in the tyrant. He does, to all intents and purposes, un-king himself.”
“But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.”—1 Samuel 13:14 (KJV)
Mayhew also noted that while people are generally willing to accept the leadership of their nation if it is fair and just, they will revolt when abused and oppressed.
“Till people find themselves greatly abused and oppressed by their governors, they are not apt to complain; and whenever they do, in fact, find themselves thus abused and oppressed, they must be stupid not to complain”
This is exactly where our country is today. We have a government that has usurped the powers of the people for their own end. Because our nation as a whole has turned their back on God in every area of life the sacred rights given to us by our Creator have been taken away by our government. Our government has not been led by a Godly leader, but by an ungodly tyrant for many years. Until now. We now have the chance to a change.
We MUST as a nation, take back our country from this tyrannical government and bring it back to the Glory of God as it was first founded over 250 years ago.
“The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.”—Psalms 12:8 (KJV)
Just as God blessed Israel for obeying His law and worshipping Him, so shall the Lord bless the United States of America if we return to Him.
“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:”—Deuteronomy 28:1 (KJV)
Even in the face of mounting problems, massive economic trials, military challenges, and un-Godly initiatives, we as a society can still repent and turn back to God. If we will, collectively and individually, return to God, he will return to us. His word promises in 2nd Chronicles that if his people will call on his name, he will turn and save us. God has blessed the USA. If we want to continue to experience his blessings, we must return to him. It’s not too late.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Prepare for Battle (Continued)
We are at a cross roads for our nation. We can either continue on the path to destruction or turn back to God and ask Him to forgive us and bless us once again.
We were once a proud Godly nation that cared about our neighbors and were willing to help them no matter what it hardship it would create. This was a matter of personal choice, not a mandated action created by an ungodly government. The path we are currently on is one that will doom us to oblivion.
