I am so sick and tired of the movements to unify us that are actually dividing us as a nation, as neighbors, as family. The Bible says:
“Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. 18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.” ~ Leviticus 19:17-18
From the very beginning of the pandemic that came into our nation there has been division. Many of the “experts” can’t even agree on how bad it is or isn’t. They also can’t agree on what precautions to use or not use. This has caused great uncertainty and division in our country.
Former President Obama’s chief of staff Rahm Emanuel famously said in 2008, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. I mean, it’s an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before.” The powers that be are taking full advantage of this crisis to do what they thought they could never do…. cause chaos among our people. It has caused a great division. A division that is getting bigger every day. We have groups out there, on both sides, in the name of racial equality, are causing great division, greater uncertainty.
“And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” ~ Mark 3:24-25
We as a people need to wake up and realize all the protests, riots, looting, killings are not going to help anything. We need to come together and quit fighting. I don’t mean for one group to be kneeling in submission to another group. That will never bring unity. The only One we should kneel to is God Almighty. He is the only one who will bring peace to our nation.
“And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” ~ Ephesians 6:4
Yes, we need to be upset about the police brutality that started this. Yes, we need to be concerned about racial equality; but not to the extent it destroys the very fiber our nation was founded on, the peace and love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, one nation under God. Once again, we are fighting brother against brother. We must stop this if we expect our once great nation to survive.
“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” ~ Colossians 3:13
